Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
By creating an account or claiming a subdomain, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after an update means you accept the new version.
1. What this service is
claim ("we", "the service") lets you register subdomains under domains we own (currently likes-coding.com, is-a-coder.com, and is-developing.com) and manage their DNS records through our interface, which is backed by Cloudflare.
We own the parent domains. You do not. You are granted a revocable license to use the subdomain you register, subject to these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using it.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, with or without notice.
4. Your subdomains
Subdomains are free and granted on a per-account basis. The default limit is five active subdomains per account. We reserve the right to deny, reclaim, or delete any subdomain at any time, particularly for the reasons in the Acceptable Use Policy or if the parent domain is compromised, transferred, or retired.
You can release a subdomain at any time. Once released it returns to the pool and may be claimed by anyone, including someone other than you.
5. Reclaim and inactivity
If your account is inactive for 12 months, or if you do not log in to confirm continued use within 12 months of claiming a subdomain, we may reclaim the subdomain. We will email the address on file before doing so when reasonably possible.
6. Our rights to suspend or remove
We may suspend or remove a subdomain or its DNS records, with or without prior notice, if we believe in good faith that:
- It violates the Acceptable Use Policy.
- It infringes a third party's rights or applicable law.
- It threatens the security, reputation, or operation of the parent domain or this service.
- A registrar, registry, ICANN, hosting provider, or court order requires removal.
7. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that DNS will resolve at any particular speed or at all.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of (a) USD 10 or (b) the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which for a free service is zero.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your subdomain, content you publish, or your violation of these terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
11. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time by releasing your subdomains and contacting us. We may terminate your account at any time for any reason, with or without notice. On termination your subdomains will be released.
